Varsity Coach: Amy Condrey
Amy's
rowing experience began her senior year at Amelia High School in 2001 when she
joined CHSC which was only the second year of Clermont Crew's existence. Her
multi-sport background growing up guided her to try just one more sport before
she graduated, which led her to join the rowing club in college at Miami
University.
As her passion and love for the sport grew, Amy got more
involved in the team by taking leadership roles throughout her years there--from
novice representative, to secretary, to co-organizer of the Redhawk Sprints, to
being the women's captain as a junior in college where she implemented and
monitored extensive training programs.
With this, she developed over 40 novice rowers into varsity
athletes. Her leadership roles on the team did not keep her from rowing, but
only fed her desire to develop as a stronger athlete, where she competitively
raced in regattas around the country.
Amy graduated from Miami University in 2005 with a Bachelor's
degree in Health Education. Her background knowledge in health has worked to
supplement her coaching experience by enhancing the team with optimal nutrition
and fitness goals.
She began coaching for CHSC in the fall 2005, obtained her
USRowing Level 1 Certification, and is now enthusiastic about the upcoming
seasons with the crew. If you have any questions, send Amy an e-mail at
